This is Luke’s self-posed portrait before Church on his first Sunday as a Sunbeam. He insists on wearing one of his brothers’ ties every Sunday, which I think is really cute, since his brothers have to be forcibly dressed in their Church clothes and they complain about it every chance they get.
Luke moved up from Nursery to Primary this year in Church. He is my youngest child to begin nursery, since my other 3 kids were all 3 1/2 plus when they moved into Primary, but Luke is only 3 years 3 months and not potty trained.
Shawn and I took him into Primary and he immediately started yelling: “The other one!” meaning, nursery. He sat on my lap, since his teacher was holding a child having a full on tantrum. We sat there through a song, a prayer and a story. Luke kept yelling at random times: “Not this one!” He went to the back of the room with Shawn for a few minutes, then walked back to me. A minute later he turned to me and told me to leave-just like that. “You go out, Mom.” I asked him twice if he was sure and oh boy—he wanted me gone!
I checked on him twice and both times he was turned around acting silly, but he was still in that chair and not causing major problems. When I picked him up after Church, he had a CTR necklace he had made plus a cookie. He was all smiles.
If only potty training was this easy!
Adorable!
ReplyDeleteMy "baby" is now in Senior Primary. WAH! These past 5 years since Jon got hurt are a total blur-i feel like I missed out on the "baby" growing up!
