LOWS:
It was one of those weeks that had me on errands every day and I never felt caught up.
My Doctor told me that in order to induce me, I would have to have a Bishop's Score of 8. I looked this up and for me to reach an 8, I am in active labor. I'm not happy. I do not go into labor on my own, so if it's not an induction I'm looking at going over my due date. At this point, I'm thinking of showing up to labor and delivery a week early carrying $500.00 cash and offering it to the first nurse who hooks me up to pitocin.
Cole had an asthma doctor appointment and I had a 90 minute window to finish it before having to pick up kids. It took them 73 minutes to see us, and then after checking him, they had to meet me at the car with the prescription. Ridiculous. The Doctor really knows his stuff, but I am not putting up with that kind of wait time so on to a new pediatrician.
My birthday. I turned 39. I am not a big birthday person. I feel like my birthday is too close to Christmas and feel guilty getting presents again. I am not into the attention...so I'm not having anymore birthdays.
Second Saturday in a row Shawn had to work.
For the second time in 3 months....wait for it.....our shower is leaking again.
Took the kids to this great park in Chandler for a Science day. However--and I'm not making this up--there were 10 cabanas filled with parties. I've never seen a park more crowded. I spent the entire time walking around trying to keep tabs on the youngest 2. The older two are "too old" (so they say) for parks and spent their time in a tree.
Sitting through 3 hours of Church is killing me. I'm not sure why, but I think it's wearing a bra for that long. Seriously, wearing a bra when I am pregnant makes me nauseous...totally random and weird I know.
HIGHS:
Dinner at PF Chang's. Cole loved it so much he told the waitress: "My compliments to the Chef." Even Brooke eventually stopped crying over the "yucky" food and decided it was delicious after all.
Had a friend date at Tessa's house. Got to hold her chubby 4 month old baby all dressed up and liked it. I liked giving her back, too, which doesn't bode well for me and spawn #5.
Made it to the gym once this week--that's big for me. I found out that as of right now the baby is breech and really high, so I have to find a way for the kid to turn and drop. I'm going for zumba on Friday.
Following the discovery of great food at PF Chang's, Cole helped me make this insanely good chicken dish for dinner tonight. He actually licked the plate (and was promptly scolded). It was lick the plate good, in his defense.
Shawn told me...but it remains to be seen...that he is going to have house cleaners start coming.
Shawn and I had a date night in which he got his haircut and I read 4 People magazines; we went swimming at the gym; then saw "Sherlock Holmes". Good Times, but I was sure tired after that!

#1. I say stop wearing a bra! I hate bras. They do nothing for me and are just plain uncomfortable.
ReplyDelete2. Try acupuncture for the breech baby. I've heard great things about it.
3. Can you ask Shawn if he can send the house cleaners to my house after they are done at yours? :)
4. I love reading your posts!
5. I will be living in Arizona in 16 days and we have to get together!
Yay for friend dates. Come again and invite me down for one. Spawn 5 will be so cute you ll never wanna give her back. And stretched out sports bras only in late pregnancy for me if at all. Love your hilarious updates!
