8 Months

DSCN2069DSCN2066
I’d like to thank my wonderful and talented photographer Luke, who without his OCD type dedication to taking sideways blurry pictures of me, these 2 shots would never have been possible.  I included the second one because you can tell that I really truly have a baby belly there, as some people refused to believe the last time I posted.  Also, this is the biggest I have ever been at this stage of any of my pregnancies.  What that means is all my babies are pole dances on my spine and my back hurts as if I’ve been piggy backing a gorilla around 24/7.

I’m 33 weeks and counting.  That’s a solid 8 months.  I’m getting very uncomfortable.  My heartburn isn’t as bad as other times, but it causes problems nonetheless.  My pelvis feels like it’s going to crack in half and I waddle really, really well.   I haven’t had any food cravings, but I do crave weird smells, like the dusty smell of the cultural hall at church.  I could sit on that stage and breathe deeply through my nose for hours.   A very chalky chalkboard, that Home Depot smell…I’m going to have to go over there and walk among the 2 by 4’s now.  How bizarre is that?

I’m actually measuring a week ahead, which to me really means nothing since I can promise you on my life most of this belly is fat.  My Doctor also told me the baby is probably breech at this point—but not to worry about it.

She is still not named, and I am starting to worry myself into believing that I’ll have to have a c-section and it will be a boy, which will really mess up all of the laundry I’ve done for baby girls clothes.  When I complained to my OB—because I think half their pay ought to come from listening to whiny emotional pregnant women’s complaints, he told me I ought to practice positive thinking and with any luck I’ll drop this baby 3 weeks early.  HA!!  I’d sure love to prove him right.
